Night net Combine 2018: How each drill affects different position groups

  • Night net null The 2018 Night net Scouting Combine hosts 330 of the top players in this year's Night net Draft class and tests them mentally, psychologically and physically. The mental aspect of the Combine process, done through interviews with Night net team decision-makers, can play a major role in a prospect's success in Indianapolis. The Night net Combine serves as a way to test prospects in a series of six predetermined athletic drills that highlight speed, quickness, strength, agility, flexibility and explosiveness. Each drill serves a unique purpose and may be considered more or less significant based on the player’s position. MOCK DRAFT 2018:QBs fly off board early in Round 1Night net teams differ on how they use and value these numbers, but all teams factor Combine testing results into their scouting reports. Here is how each drill is run and, more important, the value of each and how it impacts different position groups. Night net Combine: 40-yard dashImportant for: Running backs, receivers, secondary players, overall standout athletesThe most recognizable activity at the Combine is meant to show players' top-end speed. Starting from a stationary position, players' 40 times give an indication of their speed from a stand-still. Related News[......]

Week 3 Fantasy Busts: Aaron Jones, Chris Carson among risky 'starts' in committee situations

  • Night net Starting a bust is the most frustrating part of fantasy football. Sometimes, it's easy to see who is going to put up a dud performance in a tough matchup. Other times, it comes out of nowhere and players just fail to live up to expectations (like Antonio Brown and his 67 yards last week). Either way, it's important to know potential busts for weekly fantasy football rankings so you can have a strategy planned out to help you win.Our bust picks actually exceeded expectations last week, as we were banking on a regression from the Bucs, and in particular, Ryan Fitzpatrick and DeSean Jackson, were able to prove us wrong. At RB, Carlos Hyde and Marshawn Lynch each put up TDs, so they weren't busts either. But now with another week of data under our belts, we should have a better chance to predict the top busts for this week. Week 3 Rankings:Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | KickerThis week, it's going to be best to go with high-volume guys who are going to have chances to produce. If you rely on the guys in this list as they deal with frustrating timeshares or nagging injuries, you could find yourself on our "How You'll Lose" list for Week 3. If possible, you're better served to target our potential sleepers for this week, but if you can't, still try to avoid these potential busts. Andrew Luck, still not throwing, running out of time to ease Colts' anxiety

  • Night net null With less than two months until training camp and as the Colts’ offseason program winds down, Andrew Luck still is not throwing in team drills. Despite proclamations of the Indianapolis front office that the quarterback will be ready to go full tilt on Day 1 of camp, there surely is plenty of nervousness being kept under wraps.I understand it's important for the leadership of an organization to put on a good public face to keep concern from turning into panic when the face of the franchise is the focal point. When I was a GM, thankfully I never had to deal with our starting quarterback missing the entire prior season and ensuing offseason as he tried to return from a major injury. But I was plenty uneasy with situations such as that involving our Vikings first-round running back Robert Smith, who came back from two ACL surgeries. Things turned out well in Smith’s case; he had several Pro Bowl seasons after overcoming his injuries. In the Luck case, we're talking about Colts owner Jim Irsay, general manager Chris Ballard and coach Frank Reich trying to reassure players, coaches, team staff, fans, media and sponsors that the team's best player will indeed be steering the ship this season as the team seeks to rebound from last year's 4-12 disaster. And they also want Luck to know they believe in and are countin[......]

MORE FANTASY: RB Handcuffs Chart | Week 2 Waiver PickupsIs Aaron Rodgers playing in Week 2?The injury saga surrounding Rodgers has dragged on throughout the week with minimal clarity being provided about the left knee injury he suffered against the Bears. While Rodgers returned to the game and led an improbable comeback, it was clear that he wasn't at 100 percent and wasn't putting a lot of weight on his injured leg. Despite this, little had been confirmed about his injury after the Sunday night contest. Now, there is a b[......]

Colts' impressive revival has GM Chris Ballard's fingerprints all over it

  • Night net null Andrew Luck signed his $140 million contract extension with $87 million guaranteed in June of 2016. That same year, the Colts quarterback’s shoulder issues intensified to the point where he had offseason surgery and missed the entire 2017 season. When general manager Chris Ballard was hired in January of 2017, his top priority was to vastly improve the offensive line so his franchise QB would have the best chance to stay healthy and return Indianapolis to prominence. Things started rocky for Ballard with a 4-12 record last season. But with Luck's return to top form behind one of the league's best offensive lines, we can now say it.Mission accomplished. STEELE: Why Colts' turnaround looks familiarBallard knew that, in order for the Colts to be successful, Luck was the key, and protecting him was paramount. He was sacked 41 times in 2016, second most in the league, and things got worse for Luck's replacements last season with a league-high 56 sacks allowed. The Colts already had first-round picks from previous years in tackle Anthony Castonzo and center Ryan Kelly who were drafted by Ballard's predecessors, Bill Polian and Ryan Grigson, respectively. The new GM added solid guard Mark Glowinski off waivers in 2017, and then it was all about the O-line at the top of the draft this year. Guard Quenton Nelson was pi[......]

Night net trade news: Patriots deal TE Hollister to Seahawks

  • Night net null null New England is moving on from Jacob Hollister. The Patriots announced Monday they have traded the tight end to the Seahawks. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though Night net Media reports New England received a seventh-round pick in 2020 from Seattle. The move is somewhat surprising considering the team didn't select a tight end in last week's draft in Nashville in the wake of Rob Gronkowski's retirement in March. Hollister was expected to compete for a larger role in 2019 given the void left by the veteran. The most experienced player left on the Patriots' roster at the position is Austin Seferian-Jenkins.Hollister, 25, signed with New England as an undrafted rookie out of Wyoming in 2017夜网论坛. He played in 15 regular-season games as a rookie but was limited to just eight last season due to injury before ending up on injured reserve and missing the team's playoff run to a Super Bowl 53 win.
